We're at the Austin Convention Center in Downtown Austin - 500 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701. The nearest cross street is Trinity and 3rd Street.

Expo hall is in Exhibit Hall 2, sessions on 3rd floor - Meeting Rooms 8,9,10. See everyone at the Convention Center!

Schedule and Keynote Announced

The TXLF team is proud to announce our 2016 program, including a keynote by Matt Lee. As we celebrate 35 years of Free Software, Matt Lee will join us to discuss the future of the Free Software Movement.

Matt Lee is technical lead at the Creative Commons, where he is responsible for their free software development and systems management.

Call For Papers deadline extended to May 10!

Great news, procrastinators (and those who simply have too much on their plate)! We're extending the submission deadline for our Call For Papers to Tuesday, May 10th.

The deadline extension is designed to give everyone the chance to submit a talk or tutorial proposal—so if you have been contemplating a topic, go ahead and submit!

Texas Linux Festival 2016!

We are happy to announce that Texas Linux Fest 2016 has been scheduled. We are going to be at the Austin Convention Center July 8th and 9th!

This year we are planning to do two full days of expo floor! We are already accepting registration for this year's event!

We are also starting the call for papers immediately to get as many exciting talks as we can! If you would like to submit a talk, please check here for more info.
